Call for applications for Sutton’s Urban Planning and sustainable development advisory committee (CCUDD)
VOLUNTEER CITIZEN MEMBERS AT CCUDD
Recognized for providing an enviable living environment for its citizens as well as the many vacationers who stay there, thanks to orientations articulated around the principles of sustainable development and landscape protection, the Town of Sutton calls to all of its interested citizens to fill one (1) vacancy on its Urban Planning Committee and Sustainable Development (CCUDD).
Members are appointed by Council resolution. The duration of the volunteer mandate of each citizen-member is two (2) years, with the possibility of being renewed.
The CCUDD is composed of 7 members: 2 councillors and 5 citizens. It is called upon to study and make recommendations to the Town Council on site planning and architectural integration programs (PIIA), minor derogations to urban planning by-laws, conditional uses, specific construction, alteration or occupancy proposal for an immovable (PPCMOI), comprehensive development plans (PAE) and any other requests related to land use planning. The CCUDD usually meets once a month in the evening.
Citizens interested in applying must reside in Sutton and send a letter of motivation, in which they outline their interests, relevant experiences, skills, expertise or training in urban planning, architecture, construction, property development, landscape architecture, design, engineering, environmental science, economic and social development, heritage or agriculture that can sustain the deliberations of the committee.
Those interested are invited to submit their application before February 15, 2021, 4:30 p.m. at the following:
