Ending the Town of Sutton’s mailing list

Published on October 11, 2016

Since the launch of its new website on February 25, 2016, the Town of Sutton has invited the public to join its mailing list in accordance with the Canadian Anti-Spam Legislation (C. L. 2010, c. 23). After more than 200 days, less than 1.2% of the population has subscribed to this mailing list. The Town again acknowledges the very low interest in this means of communication.

In an aim to provide communication tools tailored to the real needs of its population, the Town of Sutton has put an end to the mailing list and it will be destroyed in compliance with the law.

It is important to note that this is the second time that the Town of Sutton has tried to set up such a mailing list but the population has shown little interest. We invite you to “Like” the Sutton Facebook page to receive our messages and to visit the website regularly at sutton.ca to consult news and public notices.
