Reminder – operation of the Municipal and MRC ecocentre

The Public Works Department wishes to remind you of the following:

  • Separate your material before coming to the Ecocentre;
  • Only residential material is accepted;
  • No commercial material is accepted;
  • The content of the trailers accepted at the Ecocentre must be of a maximum volume of 64 cubic feet, the equivalent of a residential type trailer approximately 4 feet x 8 feet x 2 feet (1.8 cubic meters);
  • HHW (Household Hazardous Waste) (paint and oil) must be in their original containers and in a maximum quantity of 8 cubic feet or the equivalent of 8 gallons of paint.

Unaccepted materials:

  • Shingles;
  • Household garbage. The Ecocentre is not a landfill!

Ecocentre employees reserve the right to refuse a citizen that does not respect the prescribed quantities and the operation rules.

 

Notice of work on road 139 from May 14 to May 17, 2018

The Town of Sutton wishes to inform citizens that work will be carried out on Route 139.

In Sutton, near Draper Road

Hindrance:

Alternating circulation, Monday, Wednesday and Thursday between 7:30 am and 5 pm. 

Road closed Tuesday May 15 between 7:30 am and 5 pm.

The Ministère des Transports, de la Mobilité durable et de l’Électrification des transports plans to carry out work to replace a culvert on Route 139, south of Draper Road between 1111 and 1001, Route 139 from May 14 to May 17.

These interferences may be altered or canceled due to operational constraints or weather conditions.

For the safety of road users and workers, compliance with the signs in place is essential.

Notice of road work on Vallée-Missisquoi Road from May 14 to October 1st, 2018

The Town of Sutton wishes to inform citizens that work will be carried out on the bridge of the Missisquoi river on Vallée-Missisquoi Road.

Glen Sutton border crossing inaccessible: Canadian users are redirected to the Abercorn border crossing (Route 139)

Detours :

Vallée-Missisquoi Road, Scenic Road, Ingalls Road, des Églises Street, Route 139 (approx. 11 km)

Loading of the snow

The loading of the snow will be done tonight starting at 8 p.m on all streets lined with sidewalks.

In order to proceed efficiently with snow removal as quickly as possible for the benefit of all citizens, we ask your cooperation to avoid parking your car on public roads. Be careful when traveling.
