A great winter activity to do alone, with friends or family!
For the second year, the Town of Sutton is organizing a snow sculpture contest as part of its PLAISIRS D’HIVER event.
The contest starts on December 17, 2021 and participants—children and adults—have until January 28, 2022 to send us photos of their works, according to the contest terms and conditions below. There are two categories of entries: Amateur and Expert. We will present the winners during the PLAISIRS D’HIVER (winter pleasures) event on February 5, 2022.

CONTEST PROCESS
Make your most beautiful snow sculpture and take a picture of yourself next to it.
Send your photo BEFORE JANUARY 28, 2022 using the form below.
All photos received will be posted on our social networks and voted on by the public between January 30 and February 2, 2022.
On February 5, 2022, the winners will be publicly announced during the PLAISIRS D’HIVER event and on our social networks.
SNOW SCULPTURE CATEGORIES
The competition has two categories: Amateur and Expert. Depending on the category, the challenge is more or less difficult:
Amateur Category:
Simple sculptures like a Snowman.
This category is recommended for young people and families.
Expert Category:
More complex sculptures with lots of detail.
Recommended for adults, artists and sculptors who would like to try more elaborate forms.
PRIZES TO BE WON
Two categories of prizes will reward the best achievements:
Amateur
1st prize: $80 gift certificate for a parent-child pottery workshop with Qita Reindler
2nd prize: $50 gift certificate to the Cowansville stationery store
3rd prize: $30 gift certificate to Zone vidéo
Expert
1st prize: $100 gift certificate from Auberge West-Brome
2nd prize: $65 gift certificate for a ceramic workshop at Amaranthe
3rd prize: $40 gift certificate from Tartinizza restaurant
You could also have the chance to have your sculpture used as the official image of 2023 PLAISIRS D’HIVER.
