These facilities are used either for open practice or by sports organizations that manage activities and reserve the fields through the Town. <\/p>\n\t<p>Goyette-Hill Park, set in an enchanting green setting, hosts most of the sports facilities, whose quality makes it one of the most beautiful municipal parks in the region.<\/p>\n<h2>\n\t\t\tBaseball &#8211; softball\t<\/h2>\n\t<p>The field, officially named &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/sutton.ca\/en\/le-nom-de-pauline-paul-a-jamais-lie-au-terrain-de-balle-molle-de-sutton\/\">Pauline-Paul Softball Field&#8221;<\/a> in 2023 in honor of one of our citizens, is typically reserved for softball from spring to fall, Monday to Friday evenings.<\/p>\n\t<p>The field is lit and available outside reserved league hours for open practice, from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., seven days a week, from May 1 to October 31.<\/p>\n<h3>\n\t\t\tChildren&#8217;s softball league\t<\/h3>\n\tThe Sutton Junior Softball League is open to children aged 3 to 17, in the following categories:\n<ul>\n<li>Tee-ball, 3 to 5 years<\/li>\n<li>Novice, 6 to 8 years<\/li>\n<li>Pee-wee, ages 9 to 12<\/li>\n<li>Bantam, ages 13 to 17<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Games and practices take place at the Pauline-Paul softball field, in Goyette-Hill Park, from Monday to Wednesday in the evening.<\/p>\nFor more information, visit the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.suttonsoftball.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">league website<\/a>.\n<figure itemscope itemtype=\"https:\/\/schema.org\/ImageObject\">\n\t\t\t\t<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/sutton.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/Inauguration_Balle-molle_Pauline-Paul-20230529_8358.jpg\" alt=\"Inauguration_Balle-molle_Pauline-Paul-20230529_8358\" height=\"1365\" width=\"2048\" title=\"Inauguration_Balle-molle_Pauline-Paul-20230529_8358\" onerror=\"this.style.display='none'\" loading=\"lazy\" \/>\n\t<\/figure>\n<h2>\n\t\t\tBasketball\t<\/h2>\n\t<p>The Town of Sutton inaugurated its new <a href=\"https:\/\/sutton.ca\/en\/a-festive-and-unifying-inauguration-of-the-basketball-court\/\">basketball court in 2024<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The court is not lit. It is available for open practice from 7 a.m. until dusk, seven days a week, from May 1 to October 31. It is a full court, featuring a playing surface, two hoops, and player benches.  <\/p>\n<figure itemscope itemtype=\"https:\/\/schema.org\/ImageObject\">\n\t\t\t\t<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/sutton.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/Photo-terrain-basketball.png\" alt=\"Photo terrain basketball\" height=\"1005\" width=\"1920\" title=\"Photo terrain basketball\" onerror=\"this.style.display='none'\" loading=\"lazy\" \/>\n\t<\/figure>\n<h2>\n\t\t\tHockey\t<\/h2>\n\t<p>Hockey players have access to a full hockey rink on a multifunctional concrete surface that is iced over in winter.<\/p>\n<p>It is lit and features rink markings as well as hockey goals.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\t<p><strong>In summer,<\/strong> the schedule is shared with pickleball practice. <a href=\"https:\/\/sutton.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/Horaire_Patinoire_JUIN24_imprimable.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Click here<\/a> to view the shared schedule. <\/p>\n<p><strong>In winter,<\/strong> you can play ice hockey there. See the <a href=\"https:\/\/sutton.ca\/en\/ice-rink-and-ice-trail\/\">Ice Rink and Ice Trail <\/a>page for more information. <\/p>\n<h2>\n\t\t\tSplash Pad\t<\/h2>\n\t<p>The water play areas are located behind the sports chalet at Goyette-Hill Park. They are open daily from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m., from May through September. <\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<figure itemscope itemtype=\"https:\/\/schema.org\/ImageObject\">\n\t\t\t\t<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/sutton.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/Ville_de_Sutton-JEUX_EAU_PHOTO-CJ.jpg\" alt=\"Ville_de_Sutton-JEUX_EAU_PHOTO-CJ\" height=\"900\" width=\"1200\" title=\"Ville_de_Sutton-JEUX_EAU_PHOTO-CJ\" onerror=\"this.style.display='none'\" loading=\"lazy\" \/>\n\t<\/figure>\n<h2>\n\t\t\tPickleball\t<\/h2>\n\t<p>The pickleball courts are lit and open from May 1 to October 31. . They are located on the multifunctional concrete surface of the Goyette-Hill Park ice rink. Matches take place on Tuesdays at the Goyette-Hill Park soccer fields. <\/li>\n<li>Recreational soccer for women 18 and over. No registration required, Friday evenings at 6 p.m., until the end of September. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<strong>In winter<\/strong>, the organization coordinates indoor futsal activities at the Sutton school gymnasium, for adults aged 17 and over.\nFor further information, please contact: <a href=\"mailto:inscriptionsoccersutton@gmail.com\">inscriptionsoccersutton@gmail.com.<\/a>\n<h2>\n\t\t\tTennis\t<\/h2>\n\t<p>Both tennis courts are lit and open from May 1 to October 31, from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.<\/p>\n<p>Access to the fields is free.<\/p>\n<figure itemscope itemtype=\"https:\/\/schema.org\/ImageObject\">\n\t\t\t\t<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/sutton.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/Ville_de_Sutton-TENNIS-Francois-Tremblay.jpg\" alt=\"Ville_de_Sutton-TENNIS-Francois-Tremblay\" height=\"900\" width=\"1200\" title=\"Ville_de_Sutton-TENNIS-Francois-Tremblay\" onerror=\"this.style.display='none'\" loading=\"lazy\" \/>\n\t<\/figure>\n<h3>\n\t\t\tRules for Use of the Fields\t<\/h3>\n\t<p>Both tennis courts are accessible from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.<\/p>\n<p>Playing time is 60 minutes and starts on the hour (e.g., 9 a.m., 10 a.m., 11 a.m.).<\/p>\n<p>A player may continue their game after a playing period if no other player is waiting. If both courts are occupied, a player may wait until the start of a new playing period (e.g., 9 a.m., 10 a.m., 11 a.m.) to get a court. <\/p>\n<p>To keep their place in line, players must remain near the courts until the start of the next playing period.<\/p>\n<p>At all times, players must demonstrate good sportsmanship, politeness, and courtesy to avoid conflicts.<\/p>\n<h4>\n\t\t\tPeriods reserved for doubles tennis\t<\/h4>\n\t<p>Since 2024, specific time slots have been reserved for doubles tennis.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Scheduled periods for Doubles Tennis:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Monday and Wednesday: 1 to 5 p.m.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Tuesday and Thursday: 8 a.m. to noon<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>During these periods, both courts are reserved for doubles tennis.<\/p>\n<p>These periods are open to everyone!
