Its use by Sutton residents is a simple and effective way of participating in the rapid response measures put in place. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>To report an act of vandalism :<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Type <a href=\"https:\/\/sutton.ca\/en\/services-to-citizens\/public-works\/vandalism\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>sutton.ca\/vandalism\/<\/strong><\/a> or<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Go to the <a href=\"https:\/\/sutton.ca\/services-aux-citoyens\/travaux-publics\/signaler-un-graffiti-ou-tout-autre-acte-de-vandalisme\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Form to report graffiti or other acts of vandalism<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Use the QR code available on posters in public places<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Remember, for any act of vandalism on private property, or any act you witness first-hand, you must <strong>call your local police department at 310-4141<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"wp-rich-text-font-awesome-icon wp-font-awesome-icon\"><svg aria-hidden=\"true\" focusable=\"false\" data-prefix=\"fas\" data-icon=\"flag\" class=\"svg-inline--fa fa-flag \" role=\"img\" viewBox=\"0 0 448 512\" color=\"#241D52\"><path fill=\"currentColor\" d=\"M64 32C64 14.3 49.7 0 32 0S0 14.3 0 32L0 64 0 368 0 480c0 17.7 14.3 32 32 32s32-14.3 32-32l0-128 64.3-16.1c41.1-10.3 84.6-5.5 122.5 13.4c44.2 22.1 95.5 24.8 141.7 7.4l34.7-13c12.5-4.7 20.8-16.6 20.8-30l0-247.7c0-23-24.2-38-44.8-27.7l-9.6 4.8c-46.3 23.2-100.8 23.2-147.1 0c-35.1-17.6-75.4-22-113.5-12.5L64 48l0-16z\"><\/path><\/svg><\/span>  <strong>Act quickly<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To maintain a harmonious living environment, the Town of Sutton aims to clean up or repair damage to public property (e.g. parks, buildings, municipal equipment, street furniture) as quickly as possible. Promptly cleaning up graffiti, in particular, prevents its proliferation and eliminates the attention desired by the graffiti artist. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>New actions in 2026<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In keeping with its focus on prevention, this year&#8217;s Intervention and Prevention Plan to Counter Vandalism proposes concrete actions to be carried out in conjunction with local stakeholders: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-secondaire-600-color\">Skatepark clean-up and inauguration of legal walls<\/mark>: <\/strong>in collaboration with Maison des jeunes Le spot, this project aims to clean up the graffiti currently present in the skatepark, and to define specific areas where urban art will be legal. These walls will be repainted by the Town on an annual basis, to encourage artistic expression in these areas. The project, which will also include the creation of murals on certain modules, will be inaugurated at a festive event in August. More details to come!   <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-secondaire-500-color\">Awareness-raising workshops for elementary school children<\/mark>:<\/strong> Sutton School, in collaboration with the S\u00fbret\u00e9 du Qu\u00e9bec, plans to offer awareness-raising workshops for grade <sup>5<\/sup> and <sup>6<\/sup> students on the impact of vandalism and the possible repercussions for young people.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-secondaire-500-color\">Creation of a 4th mural as part of the <\/mark><\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/sutton.ca\/en\/cultural-mediation\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-secondaire-500-color\"><strong>Le mur | The Wall<\/strong><\/mark><\/a><strong> cultural mediation project: <\/strong>initiated in 2023 by the Recreation, Life Community and Culture Department and supported by the Minist\u00e8re de la Culture et des Communications, this project aims to beautify our municipality, as well as offering Sutton residents a unique experience of collective artistic creation in the company of a professional artist.
