{"id":113099,"date":"2026-04-02T17:04:40","date_gmt":"2026-04-02T21:04:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sutton.ca\/staging\/?p=113099"},"modified":"2026-04-02T17:27:59","modified_gmt":"2026-04-02T21:27:59","slug":"invitation-to-an-open-house-on-the-revision-of-urban-by-laws-on-april-23-2026","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sutton.ca\/staging\/en\/invitation-to-an-open-house-on-the-revision-of-urban-by-laws-on-april-23-2026\/","title":{"rendered":"Invitation to an Open House on the Revision of Urban By-Laws on April 23: Register Now!"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The Town of Sutton has been actively revising its Urban By-Laws since the new Urban Plan was adopted by Council in October 2025, and the Brome-Missisquoi RCM confirmed its conformity in January 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>By adopting the same approach of <strong>transparency<\/strong> and <strong>collective participation<\/strong> as for the revision of the Urban Plan, the Town wishes to give all citizens the opportunity to learn about the progress of the work on revising the By-Laws, to ask questions, to share their suggestions and to discuss the major regulatory themes that will shape the territory of Sutton for the coming years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><mark style=\"background-color:#fda30e\" class=\"has-inline-color\">Open House Evening on April 23, 2026<\/mark><\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The open house on April 23, 2026 will follow the same model as those organized for the revision of the Town Urban Plan:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The &#8220;open house&#8221; formula means that you can arrive and leave at any time within the <strong>6 p.m.-8:30<\/strong> p.m. time slot.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Thematic stations<\/strong> will be led by the L&#8217;Arpent team and the Service de l&#8217;urbanisme et du d\u00e9veloppement du territoire: they will provide an opportunity to discuss the revision process and to exchange views on the regulatory proposals for the main development themes (village core and housing, landscapes and sectors of interest).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The activity is designed to be open and friendly. You can <strong>move freely<\/strong> between stations and chat with the team at your own pace. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The <strong>information gathered<\/strong> during the evening will feed into the discussions on updating the Town Urban By-Laws.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A <strong>report <\/strong>on the open house will be posted on the project&#8217;s webpage, on Dream Sutton.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><i class=\"fas fa-arrow-circle-right\"><\/i> <strong>To register: Please send your name and e-mail address to <mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-fl-topbar-link-color\"><a href=\"mailto:urbanisme@sutton.ca\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">urbanisme@sutton.ca<\/a><\/mark> before April 19.
