In order to reopen Jacques-Gagn\u00e9 Park to the public as soon as possible, the Town is currently securing the play modules, pending its future redevelopment.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

All the wood around the play area will be removed and some modules will be removed for safety reasons. Only the slide module will be left and cushioning sand will be placed under and around it. The earth backfill will be seeded. Barring any unforeseen circumstances, the park should be accessible to the public again as early as next Monday, September 27.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Town is not planning any further work on the park at this time as the Recreation, Community Life and Culture Department is currently working on a draft comprehensive development plan for Gagn\u00e9 Park that will be tabled this fall as part of the Family and Seniors Policy and Action Plan Update.
