On the occasion of the Journ\u00e9e nationale de reconnaissance des pompiers et pompi\u00e8res<\/a> (National Firefighters’ Appreciation Day) which was last Sunday, the Town of Sutton wishes to congratulate in particular its firefighters who were strongly involved during this very busy Thanksgiving weekend. No less than six interventions were realized by the brigade, mainly in the forest.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The glowing testimonial that a hiker, Ms. Anika Belanger, posted on Facebook<\/a> on Monday, October 11, confirms the importance and quality of the intervention services that came to her aid, when she had an accident on the P.E.N.S. trails near Lake Mohawk. The operation, perfectly coordinated between firefighters, paramedics and emergency dispatchers, lasted more than 2 hours and required the mobilization of 14 people on the ground, while another rescue was in progress at the same time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Town is proud of the professionalism of its firefighters who provide an efficient and recognized service to its citizens and visitors.
