PENS Release<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Po\u00e9sie buissonni\u00e8re<\/em> will be back on the Village-Mountain trail in Sutton on Saturday and Sunday, August 20 and 21. Two free and poetic tours (in French) are planned each day, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. and from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. <\/p>

Conceiver and initiator of the event, the inimitable Madame Zazou will transform herself for the occasion into a naturalist guide with a crazy sense of humor. She will accompany the public to meet four artists invited to interpret, on the basis of directed improvisations, the testimonies of gratitude collected on several benches of the Parc d’environnement naturel de Sutton (PENS). Their interpretations will lead us to perceive the forest and the mountain from various angles, translating through song, dance, storytelling and illustration, the testimonies written and drawn by hikers in the most magical and visited places of the PENS hiking trail network. <\/p>

Initiated in 2021, this unique walking event is a once-a-year celebration of the gratitude of many of the PENS visitors to its amazing public trail system on private land, the landowners who make it possible, and the team that has been developing, managing and maintaining it for over 40 years. <\/p>

This year, the improvisation tours will be punctuated on Saturday (or Sunday in case of rain) by a collective picnic celebrating the best moments of the 4 Summits Camp, a day camp in the forest initiated 10 years ago by the PENS. <\/p>

In order to make the most of the various performances, the public is invited to bring what they need for their comfort and health: folding chairs or blankets to sit outside, an umbrella or parasol to counteract the vagaries of the weather, a picnic to enjoy around noon, and a garbage bag to bring back what was brought (the basic element of a trackless picnic). <\/p>

The event is free – thanks to the financial support of the Town of Sutton and the Caisse d’\u00e9conomie solidaire Desjardins – and no reservations are necessary. It is possible to park in the courtyard of the Sutton School, at 19 Highland Street, a few steps from the entrance of the Village-Mountain trail from which the four tours depart. It is also possible to park in the village and go to the Village-Mountain trail via Godue Park, which runs along Maple Street from the river to Highland Street (a short walk of 10 to 15 minutes more). <\/p>
