The Sutton Museum of Communications and History presents its summer exhibition highlighting our environment and the plants that grow in our region. The exhibition, entitled Au fil des saisons, une expo \u00e0 cueillir<\/em><\/a>, was produced in collaboration with the Abenaki Nation and local herbalist Catherine Lalonde, whose company Sauvages & Cultiv\u00e9es<\/a> is based in Sutton<\/h3>\n\n\n

As you enter the temporary exhibition room, you’ll see objects and photographs that illustrate the Abenaki way of life and their ability to work with plants. You will also be able to consult large exhibition panels, created in collaboration with Madame Lalonde, on various plants from the region and their many uses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Over the months of August and September, The Museum is offering eight plant-related workshop-lectures by local experts, on subjects as diverse as they are fascinating: horticulture with Solange Duguay, natural fabric dyes with Marie Christine Nadeau, paper made from plants with Anne-Marie Dupont, and mushroom picking with Paul Dorion. Each activity will help you learn more about the usefulness of the plants and vegetation we have here!<\/p>\n\n\n
