On behalf of its citizens, the Town of Sutton wishes to offer its most sincere condolences to the families and loved ones of two of our citizens, who recently passed away, and who have made a significant contribution to our community: Mrs. Gwen Badham and Mrs. Mich\u00e8le Normandin<\/strong>.<\/h3>\n\n\n

Gwen Badham, the pillar of the Maison des jeunes de Sutton<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Director of the Maison des jeunes de Sutton, Gwen Badham has spent many years working with young people and the community. It’s impossible to list all the positive benefits this kind-hearted woman has brought to the organization and the young people who have attended it. For many, she was a support, a confidant, a comfort and a guide. Her presence was always one of kindness. “Gwen was always there for us, said Rom\u00e9o Baril, the 12-year-old president of the Youth committee, who was deeply moved by the news. Her priority was for young people to feel good, safe in an environment based on respect for themselves and others. She will be sorely missed!”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Town of Sutton would like to pay tribute to Gwen’s profound devotion and assure the young people and the organization of its support in this difficult stage of grief and transition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A funeral service <\/a> is planned for Saturday, August 12, at the D\u00e9sourdy Funeral Home, 318 Knowlton Road, Brome Lake, starting at 10 a.m. Donations may be made to the HeartLife Foundation<\/a> or the Canadian Cancer Society<\/a> in his name.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mich\u00e8le Normandin, a resident at heart<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Mich\u00e8le Normandin has worked in the world of theater and culture for most of her life, while exploring herbalism, nutrition and everything related to human well-being. In Town, she left her mark as director of the Salle Alec et G\u00e9rard Pelletier and the residence Les Villas des Monts de Sutton.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
