A healthy white pine, located 12 metres from the center of the line, was uprooted by the wind and fell onto the line. Crews then reinstalled the conductors and carried out the necessary inspections to get the line back up and running, with the aim of supplying Sutton substation again at around 9 pm;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In parallel with this work, many crews patrolled all the power distribution lines running from Sutton substation, in order to supply homes and businesses in the municipality. Several trees and branches were cut down, as they were damaging the distribution network, following the passage of the gusts (close to 90 km\/h). Equipment was also replaced. The aim was to resolve all these problems on the distribution network, before the Sutton substation was re-supplied.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>However, when the Sutton substation was restarted, new faults appeared on the distribution lines. Unfortunately, daytime patrols were unable to identify all the trees\/branches\/equipment that had an impact on the distribution network.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>This explains why many customers are still without power this morning in Sutton (430 customers for a total of 14 outages, at 9:50 a.m. on January 11);<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In Sutton, it&#8217;s the mountain sector where the majority of customers without power are concentrated;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Hydro-Qu\u00e9bec expects to reconnect everyone by 1 p.m;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Today and tomorrow (January 11 and 12), new patrols will identify at-risk trees outside the transmission line right-of-way. These trees will then be felled.
