Given the size of the project and its temporary impact on local residents as well as on users of the Goyette-Hill Park, the Town of Sutton invites you to a public meeting on Tuesday, March 26, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., to obtain all the information you need and answer any questions you may have.<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"538\" src=\"https:\/\/sutton.ca\/staging\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/Visuel-Presentation-publique-Rue-Western-EN-1024x538.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-74973\" srcset=\"https:\/\/sutton.ca\/staging\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/Visuel-Presentation-publique-Rue-Western-EN-1024x538.png 1024w, https:\/\/sutton.ca\/staging\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/Visuel-Presentation-publique-Rue-Western-EN-300x158.png 300w, https:\/\/sutton.ca\/staging\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/Visuel-Presentation-publique-Rue-Western-EN-768x403.png 768w, https:\/\/sutton.ca\/staging\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/Visuel-Presentation-publique-Rue-Western-EN.png 1200w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>An <a href=\"https:\/\/sutton.ca\/staging\/en\/review-of-the-may-9-information-meeting-on-western-street-north\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">initial public presentation<\/a> of the planned investment took place on May 9, 2023. We are currently in the start-up phase. The Public Works and Fixed Assets Department, accompanied by the engineer from FNX Innov inc. who is in charge of the project, will present a concrete overview of all the stages of the upcoming worksite and the nature of the work: replacement of underground infrastructures (aqueduct, sanitary sewer and storm sewer), redevelopment of the street (pavement, sidewalks and concrete curb) and of the two parking lots in Parc Goyette-Hill.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The presentation will be recorded and broadcast on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/channel\/UCho_cik7f5pK2CjJ0f5dxSA\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Town&#8217;s YouTube channel<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Information booths at the public meeting<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Following the presentation, Western Street residents and users of Goyette-Hill Park facilities will be able to ask questions at the two information booths set up for this purpose:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><i class=\"fas fa-arrow-circle-right\"><\/i> <strong>Public Works and Fixed Assets Department information booth<\/strong>: to answer questions from concerned residents, such as the collection of residual materials during this period, access to their homes, traffic, planned means of communication, CITAM registration, etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><i class=\"fas fa-arrow-circle-right\"><\/i>  <strong>Recreation, Community Life and Culture Department information booth<\/strong>: to answer questions about the use of Goyette-Hill Park during this period, such as access to the park, alternative parking, day camp, aquatic and other activities planned on the grounds, etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>RECONSTRUCTION WORK ON WESTERN STREET (NORTH)<br>Dates: April 29 to October 18, 2024<br>Investment: $6,900,000<br>Contractor: Excavation St-Pierre &amp; Tremblay inc.<br>Engineering firm responsible for work supervision and materials control: FNX Innov inc.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Reconstruction work on the northern section of Western Street (between Principale Street North and Route 215) will begin on April 29 and last until October 18, 2024.
