{"id":81850,"date":"2024-09-27T12:22:58","date_gmt":"2024-09-27T16:22:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sutton.ca\/staging\/?p=81850"},"modified":"2025-07-13T12:08:13","modified_gmt":"2025-07-13T16:08:13","slug":"western-street-reconstruction-site-work-info-for-the-week-of-september-30-2024-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sutton.ca\/staging\/en\/western-street-reconstruction-site-work-info-for-the-week-of-september-30-2024-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Western Street reconstruction site \u2013 Work Info for the week of September 30, 2024"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>The Public Works and Fixed Assets Department would like to inform you of the work in progress scheduled for the upcoming week of September 30.<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"538\" src=\"https:\/\/sutton.ca\/staging\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/Visuel-Infos-travaux-EN-1024x538.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-76510\" srcset=\"https:\/\/sutton.ca\/staging\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/Visuel-Infos-travaux-EN-1024x538.png 1024w, https:\/\/sutton.ca\/staging\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/Visuel-Infos-travaux-EN-300x158.png 300w, https:\/\/sutton.ca\/staging\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/Visuel-Infos-travaux-EN-768x403.png 768w, https:\/\/sutton.ca\/staging\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/Visuel-Infos-travaux-EN.png 1200w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p><i class=\"fas fa-arrow-alt-circle-right\"><\/i> In the <strong>southern<\/strong> parking lot of Goyette Hill Park: <strong>closed September 28-29 weekend and for paving.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><i class=\"fas fa-arrow-alt-circle-right\"><\/i> In the <strong>northern <\/strong>parking lot of Goyette Hill Park: <strong>two parking spaces will be reserved for the mobility-impaired <\/strong>only; the <strong>remainder will be reserved for Western Street residents until October 4<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Park users can continue to enter the park via the bike path.<br><strong>The use of alternative parking is mandatory.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><i class=\"fas fa-hand-point-right\"><\/i> <strong><strong>TEMPORARY AND PERMANENT PARKING MAP<\/strong><\/strong>&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/sutton.ca\/staging\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/SUTTON-Carte-Stationnements-Temporaires-8.5-x-11.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>download here<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><strong>Phase 4:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Sidewalk and concrete curbs construction complete!<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Concrete pouring to connect driveways to sidewalks and curbs completed!<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Gravelling and final grading of Western Street completed!<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Construction of crossing strips for pedestrian protection underway.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Planting of vegetation in south and north parking lots underway.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Paving of the intersection of Western Street and Route 215: expected to take 2 days;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Paving of rue Western: expected to take one to two days (exact date to be confirmed).\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>While the street is being paved, driveways will be inaccessible from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. (or later, depending on progress);<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Progress of work site planned from Road 215 towards Principale Nord St.;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Please strictly follow site signage (flagmen and signs);<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Residents will receive a notice in the form of a door hanger indicating the date by which their car must be moved.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The north parking lot will be reserved for Western Street residents affected by the work.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Restriction:<\/strong> During paving, local traffic only on Western Street.
