Furthermore, if one of our urban planning inspectors were to come and inspect the interior of your home, they would make an appointment with you and call you from the Town Hall.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Stay alert!<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>If someone comes to your home for an inspection :<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Ask for his\/her name and ID;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ask for the name and telephone number of the company they represent: if you can, check the company&#8217;s existence on the Internet immediately, and call them yourself to check that the person is actually employed by them;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If the person refers to the Town, call our offices to verify the information.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><i class=\"fas fa-arrow-right\"><\/i>  <strong>To check the names of our municipal inspectors<\/strong>: call the Urbanand Land-use Planning Department at <strong>450 538-2290, option <\/strong>1; or send an e-mail to <a href=\"mailto:urbanisme@sutton.ca\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">urbanisme@sutton.ca.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><i class=\"fas fa-arrow-right\"><\/i>  <strong>To check the names of MRC inspectors<\/strong>: call the Service d&#8217;\u00e9valusation at <strong>450 266-4900<\/strong>, <strong>ext. 1<\/strong>; or send an e-mail to <a href=\"mailto:evaluation@mrcbm.qc.ca\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">evaluation@mrcbm.qc.ca<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><strong>To report fraud: <\/strong><br>Call the <a href=\"https:\/\/antifraudcentre-centreantifraude.ca\/report-signalez-fra.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-central-palette-4-color\"><strong>Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre<\/strong><\/mark><\/a> at 1-888-495-8501 (Monday to Friday, 10 a.m. to 4:45 p.m., except statutory holidays);<br>Or <a href=\"https:\/\/antifraudcentre-centreantifraude.ca\/report-signalez-eng.htm#a1a\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-central-palette-4-color\"><strong>report online<\/strong><\/mark><\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>We thank you for your attention and recommend that you exercise prudence!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Town of Sutton wishes to inform the public that the only people authorized and mandated to come to your home for an inspection are its own municipal inspectors, when applying for a permit, or its firefighters, as part of their fire prevention visits.
