Any way you can to talk about water, including podcasting! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

With this in mind, the Pensez bleu (Think blue) podcast<\/mark><\/strong><\/a> (in French) was launched at the beginning of the year. With four episodes to its credit, it tackles the issue of water in Quebec from a variety of angles.<\/p>\n\n\n

Comedian Lou S\u00e9guin visits chef Danny St Pierre to discuss his drinking water habits, while referring to two water experts to get to the bottom of things. How much water does the Quebec population consume? How is water treated to make it drinkable? What is a WaterSense toilet? And much more! Mathieu Laneuville, President and CEO of R\u00e9seau Environnement, and Hugo Labrosse, engineer and project manager with the Direction de la gestion strat\u00e9gique de l’eau at the Minist\u00e8re des Affaires municipales et de l’Habitation (MAMH), provide details and data to help Lou think things through. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Americana 2025: another successful event!<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Americana – Forum sur l’environnement et Salon international des technologies environnementales: “L’urgence d’innover” (Environmental Forum and International Environmental Technology Exhibition: \u201cThe urgent need to innovate”) took place on March 12 and 13. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

MAMH took part in several conferences on the theme of water. Among the participants were Jocelyn Savoie, Assistant Deputy Minister for Climate Impacts, Taxation, Finance and Infrastructure, as moderator of the “La technologie au service de l’eau” (Technology for Water) conference, and Marie-Jos\u00e9e Barrieault, Director of Strategic Water Management, as a speaker. She took part in the panel “Eaux us\u00e9es: avanc\u00e9es technologiques et d\u00e9fis actuels” (Wastewater: technological advances and current challenges), and moderated the conference “Vers une utilisation durable: l’\u00e9volution de la gestion de l’eau au Qu\u00e9bec” (Towards sustainable use: the evolution of water management in Quebec).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

MAMH is proud to contribute to events that put Quebec’s environmental future at the forefront. It’s a necessary task, so that present and future generations can enjoy the riches of the land in a sustainable and thoughtful way. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

PGA-Eau: a necessary commitment<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

As of today, over 26% of municipal organizations subject to the law have signed up to the PGA-Eau process! Complementary to the Qu\u00e9bec Strategy for Drinking Water Conservation<\/mark><\/strong><\/a> the Plan de gestion des actifs en eau (PGA-Eau, Water Asset Management Plan) is an essential tool for municipalities wishing to ensure sustainable and efficient management of their infrastructures. By promoting a long-term vision, it is possible to optimize the planning, maintenance and renewal of municipal assets to meet the growing challenges associated with resource management. This growing mobilization testifies to a collective desire to preserve and optimize the management of municipal infrastructures. MAMH encourages all municipalities to get involved.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In Sutton, the Public Works and Fixed Assets Department is currently planning a Plan de gestion des actifs en eau (PGA-Eau, Water Asset Management Plan). More information will follow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
