According to Health Canada, \u201cThe maximum acceptable concentration (MAC) for total manganese in drinking water is 0.12 mg\/L (120 \u00b5g\/L).\u201d As a precautionary measure in the event of manganese levels being exceeded, Health Canada and Environnement Qu\u00e9bec recommend using an alternative water source for pregnant and breastfeeding women, and for babies up to 1 year of age, or for bottle-feeding. Boiling water to remove manganese will not work and may increase the amount of manganese in the water. For more information, visit the Quebec government\u2019s page<\/a> on manganese.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Please note that this source is not<\/u> <\/strong>connected to the municipal water system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
