{"id":94249,"date":"2025-05-06T11:06:45","date_gmt":"2025-05-06T15:06:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sutton.ca\/staging\/?p=94249"},"modified":"2025-05-06T11:15:22","modified_gmt":"2025-05-06T15:15:22","slug":"compost-now-available-at-the-western-street-site-2025","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sutton.ca\/staging\/en\/compost-now-available-at-the-western-street-site-2025\/","title":{"rendered":"Compost now available at the Western Street site!"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>As announced in the <a href=\"https:\/\/sutton.ca\/staging\/en\/spring-information-from-your-public-works-and-capital-assets-department\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-central-palette-4-color\">April 10 news item<\/mark><\/a>, bulk compost has been available <strong>to Sutton residents<\/strong> since Monday, May 5<\/strong>. <strong>It is located on land belonging to the Town, near 33 Western Street (next to Villas des Monts).<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"768\" height=\"442\" src=\"https:\/\/sutton.ca\/staging\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/Photo-compost-avr22-horiz.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-76440\" srcset=\"https:\/\/sutton.ca\/staging\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/Photo-compost-avr22-horiz.jpg 768w, https:\/\/sutton.ca\/staging\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/Photo-compost-avr22-horiz-300x173.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 768px) 100vw, 768px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Please note that compost will be replenished twice a week during the season, on Mondays and Fridays around 8 a.m.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Reminder of instructions: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>In order to respect the peace and quiet of local residents, we ask our citizens to pick up compost only <strong>from Monday to Friday, between 9 a.m. and 7 p.m. and on Saturday between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Citizens can take a <strong>maximum of 100 liters<\/strong> per person at a time, and must bring all the tools needed to handle and transport the compost.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Since the compost is of &#8220;all-purpose compost&#8221; quality, foreign bodies may be present. We recommend that you <strong>wear gloves<\/strong> when handling the product. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>You can also obtain free compost year-round at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mrcbm.qc.ca\/ecocentres\/ecocentre-regional-situe-a-cowansville\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">\u00c9cocentre r\u00e9gional in Cowansville<\/a>, directly at the composting platform and during their opening hours.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Happy gardening season!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>As announced in the April 10 news item, bulk compost has been available to Sutton residents since Monday, May 5.
