The Town of Sutton is very proud to announce that Doris Mondor, a volunteer who has been involved in the community for many years, has been honoured as part of the 2025 Hommage b\u00e9n\u00e9volat-Qu\u00e9bec awards!<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Honorary certificate – Prix Hommage b\u00e9n\u00e9volat-Qu\u00e9bec 2025<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This winter, the Recreation, Community Life and Culture Department officially recognized Doris Mondor<\/strong> ‘s involvement in our community by nominating her for the Hommage b\u00e9n\u00e9volat-Qu\u00e9bec 2025 award. Although her nomination was not selected for a final award, she is the proud recipient of an honorary certificate<\/strong> from the Quebec government thanking her for her commitment as a volunteer. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Doris Mondor, a committed volunteer!<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n

<\/path><\/svg><\/span> From 2022 to 2024, Doris served as President of FADOQ Les Deux Monts<\/strong>. Her involvement enabled the organization to recruit new board members, add new activities to its programming and forge new partnerships.
<\/path><\/svg><\/span> To this must be added 25 years of continuous volunteer work at the Sutton Municipal and School Library<\/strong>. Doris is co-founder of the book club, responsible for purchasing French-language books, scheduling and volunteer replacements. She is also a member of the library’s management committee.
<\/path><\/svg><\/span> For the past 10 years, Doris has been part of a collective vegetable garden <\/strong>that brings together a dozen people.
<\/path><\/svg><\/span> For the past 10 years, Doris has been involved in a cooperative for the exchange of services<\/strong>(Le SEL de la Terre), where she is recognized for her availability and open-mindedness.
<\/path><\/svg><\/span> Doris also offers companionship to residents of the Centre d’h\u00e9bergement du Foyer de Sutton<\/strong>. Her presence helps break the isolation of seniors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Doris Mondor is an outstanding volunteer! The Town of Sutton joins in the well-deserved tribute she has received from the government, and warmly congratulates her for her dedication and commitment to her community, which are matched only by her generosity! <\/p>\n\n\n\n
