Cette annonce intervient dans le cadre du Programme pour l’\u00e9laboration des plans de protection des sources d’eau potable<\/a> dans lequel le gouvernement du Qu\u00e9bec accorde plus de 3,4 M$ \u00e0 76 municipalit\u00e9s pour mieux prot\u00e9ger les sources d’eau potable. La Ville de Sutton et la Ville de Lac-Brome sont les deux municipalit\u00e9s de Brome-Missisquoi b\u00e9n\u00e9ficiaires de ce soutien avec des montants respectifs de 101 500 $ et 49 000 $. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00ab Cette subvention va nous aider \u00e0 \u00e9tablir un plan qui concernera l\u2019ensemble de notre territoire et qui impliquera non seulement des experts, mais aussi les citoyens, a comment\u00e9 le maire Robert Beno\u00eet. Nous avons d\u00e9j\u00e0 entrepris des \u00e9tudes hydrog\u00e9ologiques l\u2019an dernier dont nous donnerons les r\u00e9sultats dans les prochaines semaines. Nous remercions la ministre Isabelle Charest pour son soutien dans cette d\u00e9marche. \u00bb<\/p>\n\n\n\n

L\u2019aide financi\u00e8re permettra de d\u00e9finir des mesures de protection, y compris la planification de leur mise en \u0153uvre, pour minimiser, voire \u00e9liminer, les menaces pouvant affecter la qualit\u00e9 ou la quantit\u00e9 des eaux exploit\u00e9es pour l\u2019approvisionnement en eau potable. Il s\u2019agit de menaces identifi\u00e9es lors de l\u2019analyse de la vuln\u00e9rabilit\u00e9 des sources destin\u00e9es \u00e0 l\u2019alimentation en eau potable, laquelle est exig\u00e9e par le R\u00e8glement sur le pr\u00e9l\u00e8vement des eaux et leur protection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
