Day Camp

The Sutton day camp program allows children from five years of age (having completed their kindergarten) to twelve. Enjoy unforgettable and enriching life experiences, for one or more weeks, or all summer.

  • No limit on places until May 29, 2019.
  • Weekly program, Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. at Goyette-Hill Park.
  • Daycare services are available before and after these times.

ONLINE REGISTRATION
  • No limit on registration from April 15, 2019 - May 29, 2019
  • Registration starts again on June 3, 2019, if places still remain.

Fees for the full summer day camp are payable by June 14, 2019. If you have not paid the fee in full by that date, you are not entitled to use the service.

Fees for weekly day camp activities are payable as per the following payment schedule:

  1. For the weeks from June 24, 2019 - July 19, 2019, payment must be received by June 14, 2019.
  2. For the weeks of July 22 - August 16, 2019, payment must be received by July 12, 2019.
  3. Any activity added after July 12, 2019 must be paid in cash at registration.

Registrations that have not been paid in full to the Town three weeks after the registration date will be cancelled.

Bring proof of residence, the parent’s social insurance number (for the RL-24 slip), your child’s health insurance card number and expiry date, and payment for the activity.

REGISTRATION APRIL 15 - MAY 10, 2019

This service is only offered to children who live in Sutton, have special needs and require extra support. The support program is available to help children with special needs so they can be included in the regular Municipal Day Camp program.

ROLE OF THE SUPPORT PERSON

  • Adapt the day’s activities to the child’s abilities so that the child can be included.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of children attending the Day Camp.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR THE SUPPORT PROGRAM

  • Children between the ages of 5 -12 (Age 5: Kindergarten completed in June 2019; Age 12: 6th grade completed in June 2019), whose parents or legal guardian reside in Sutton, and who have physical or psychological limitations;
  • Be registered for the Day Camp program;
  • Have completed the Support Program Registration Form (PDF) by May 10, 2019 (participant profile, recommendation from the referring party, consent to access the information file).

TERMS

The application must be completed and emailed to the Recreation and Community Life Department at: [email protected] or must be given at the reception of the Town Hall, by May 10, 2019. Each application will be evaluated individually and the number of places may be limited.

Tennis

Opening of the tennis courts - April 15 to October 31, 2019

Keys will be available from April 15, 2019

The tennis courts, located at the Goyette-Hill park, are accessible from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. during the summer. You must have a key to have access. Tennis courts must be locked at all times to avoid any kind of vandalism.

*The number of keys is not limited.

You can get a key at any time either online or in person.

In person: Monday to Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to noon and 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Sutton town hall, 11 South Principale Street, Sutton. The number of keys is not limited.

Online: Buy a tennis key

Payment must be made by cheque or cash and mailed or deposit at the front desk of the Sutton Town Hall, 11 principale S. The key will be sent to you by mail, at the address indicated in your file upon receipt of the complet payment.

It will also be possible to borrow the key to the Tourist information office for $10 / hour and by leaving an ID and a deposit of $25. The Tourist information office is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.


Only one tennis court is available for reservation. The second tennis court is available at all times for use, without reserving.

Play time is 60 minutes and starts on the hour (e.g. 9 a.m., 10 a.m., 11 a.m.)

A player may only play for a period of 60 minutes at a time, but can continue to play as long as the tennis court is free until the next period or until another player shows up.

At all times, players must demonstrate civic spirit, politeness and courtesy to avoid conflict.

Sutton School Gymnasium

During the school year (September to April), the gym is available for rental from 6:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. every evening of the week and from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. on weekends.

During the summer, the gym is reserved exclusively for the Municipal Day Camp.
