2025 Municipal General Election: Information for Non-Resident Property Owners
Do you own a property in Sutton but don't reside there? You can vote in the municipal election!
If you own a building in Sutton or represent a business with an establishment within the Town’s territory, you have the right to register on the electoral list as a non-resident voter and participate in the municipal election.
To exercise this right, as a non-resident citizen, you must complete the electoral list registration form corresponding to your situation, and return it to the election officer before October 21, 2025, at 4:30 PM:
– either by email to [email protected];
– or by mail or in person at Town Hall at 11Principale Sud Street, Sutton.
Registration Form According to your Situation:
Any non-resident voter must apply for registration on the electoral list by completing the form titled APPLICATION FOR REGISTRATION on the electoral list and APPLICATION FOR VOTING BY MAIL.
Please note! If several people are co-owners of a building or co-occupants of a business establishment, they will also need to complete the form titled POWER OF ATTORNEY FOR REGISTRATION on the electoral list, which will name a single representative to vote.
Voting by Mail
If you wish to avoid traveling to vote, you can request to vote by mail by completing section 4 of the registration form.
The mail-in ballots will be sent by mail and must be returned to the election officer by mail or in person at Town Hall at 11 Principale Sud Street, Sutton no later than October 31, 2025, at 4:30 PM.
