Water Restriction Maintained throughout the Territory

  • The water level in the mountain sector reservoirs has increased, thanks to water deliveries from tanker trucks and the remarkable efforts of users to reduce their drinking water consumption, for which we sincerely thank them! Last night, we even had periods of zero consumption, which is excellent.
  • We continue to draw water from Mud Lake while monitoring its capacity;
  • Eleven tanker truck trips took place today, and these rotations will continue tomorrow, Friday, before resuming on Monday, depending on the situation.
  • The Public Notice prohibiting drinking water use remains in effect. Extending the prohibition to the entire territory is a call for collective solidarity and shared responsibility to protect our drinking water resource.
  • Water consumption during the weekend and holiday periods is a major issue, as the population drastically increases.
    • We have informed and asked all tourist establishments to monitor their water consumption.
    • We also wish to raise awareness among owners of rental properties in the Mountain sector: Please ask your tenants to respect the prohibition notice and to review the information we have disseminated since Monday.
  • Patrols are being and will be carried out by our officials to verify compliance with drinking water usage conditions, as well as the formal prohibition of outdoor fires.
  • DON’T FORGET! We must maintain a sufficient water reserve not only for residents’ needs, but also to prepare for any eventuality of a forest fire.
  • We continue to monitor the situation very closely and will not fail to inform you if it changes by Monday.
  • Please continue your efforts to reduce drinking water consumption: we have no certainty that we will receive enough rain soon!

Strict Prohibition of all Outdoor Fires

We remind you of the formal ban in effect on lighting any outdoor fire (open-air fire, fire with spark arrestor, fireworks, etc.).

If you see someone lighting a fire despite the prohibition, call 9-1-1. Everyone’s safety is at stake!
