Public Consultation on the Urban Plan on September 11: Change of Location

Please note that you are invited to the official public consultation on the new Urban Plan, this Thursday, September 11, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.. The meeting, which was initially to be held in the Town Hall council room, has been moved to the Sutton School of Art, at 79 Principale Street South, to provide more space.

Adoption of the First Draft By-law on the Urban Plan on August 6

At the council meeting on August 6, the Town of Sutton submitted the first version of its 2025 Urban Plan. Since then, citizens have had a pre-consultation period to submit their comments until September 10 on this preliminary version.

Pre-consultation Period from August 8 to September 10

All documents for consultation have been posted online on the website Rêvons Sutton/Démarche de révision du plan et des règlements d’urbanisme (in the purple Documents section), including: the preliminary version of the Plan, its summary, and the synthesis of the open house held on June 26.
Important! This pre-consultation is intended only for individuals who have reviewed the preliminary version of the Urban Plan, from the documents available online. It aims to allow them to obtain clarifications or submit suggestions following their review, in preparation for the official public consultation.

Official Public Consultation on Thursday, September 11, from 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

As provided by the Act respecting land use planning and development (LAU) and announced in the public notice of August 8, a public consultation session will be held on September 11 concerning the first draft By-Law on the Urban Plan, adopted on August 6.

After the presentation of the draft By-Law, a question period will allow individuals or organizations to speak publicly.

The session will be recorded and available online on our YouTube channel.

Childcare Service: a childcare service will be offered free of charge by the Town to allow parents accompanied by children to participate in the public consultation. If interested, you must reserve a spot by email at [email protected].
