As the 2025 municipal elections approach, the Town of Sutton is calling on its motivated citizens to actively contribute to the well-being of their community and run as a candidate.

Conditions for Submitting your Application
- Meet the following requirements:
- Be 18 years of age or older;
- Be a Canadian citizen.
- Not having lost your right to vote due to guardianship;
- Not having been found guilty of fraudulent electoral practices in the last five years;
- Be in one of the following situations:
- Be domiciled within the Town’s territory and, for at least six months, in Quebec;
- Be the owner of a property or the occupant of a business establishment located within the Town’s territory for at least 45 days as of the election date;
- Reside within the Town’s territory when submitting your declaration of candidacy;
- Not be ineligible.
Your candidacy must be submitted in person between September 19 and October 3, 2025, by appointment only, at the office of the returning officer.
