“Nous sommes des montagnes” (We are Mountains) conference on March 28 at the Sutton Municipal and School Library
Do you dream of the thrill of adventure? Come and meet Marie-Pier Desharnais, mountaineer and author, who in May 2025 became the first Quebec woman to climb the world's third-highest peak, Kangchenjunga.
This feat adds to her exploits on Everest and K2, making Marie-Pier the only person from Quebec to have reached all three highest peaks of the planet. Through captivating stories and lessons learned at high altitude, she addresses universal themes such as resilience, pushing oneself beyond one’s limits and human strength in the face of challenges.
