What will you do?
Under the supervision of the Coordinator of the Sutton Municipal and School Library, the person holding the position performs tasks related to the management of the documentary collection and provides presence and support at the reception desk.
More specifically, the Library Technician has the following responsibilities:
- Catalogue and prune documentary collections;
- Ensure the smooth exchange of the deposited collection;
- Follow-up on overdue and damaged books;
- Greet volunteers and customers with courtesy and professionalism;
- Provide support to volunteers and patrons on all aspects of library services;
- Assist the coordinator as needed;
- Perform any other related tasks.
Who are we looking for?
To meet the job requirements, you must:
- Hold a diploma or training in DCS Information and Library Technology;
- Have knowledge of literature and libraries;
- Be proficient in Word, Excel and Outlook;
- Demonstrate independence and good judgment.
- Be able to communicate effectively in French and English.
