Invitation to “Take care of our destination together” at the Showcase event on September 28 and 29

Mark your calendars: as part of the Journées de la culture, you are invited on September 28 and 29 to take part in the Showcase event to “Take care of our destination together”, the trail co-creation project led by the Sutton Economic Development Corporation in collaboration with the Town of Sutton and the Laboratoire d’innovation ouverte (Llio).

The trail co-creation project aims to bring people together to create a trail in a sustainable way, that will showcase soft mobility, culture, landscapes, our heritage and so more. The actual route of the trail is still under study, but the process has brought people together to build something great for our community. To date, more than 200 people have taken part in the process… Don’t miss this chance to bring your color to the project!

Program of the Showcase event

Meeting place: D’Arts et de rêves (57, rue Principale Nord)
Saturday and Sunday, September 28 and 29, 2024, 1 pm to 3 pm

The program includes a presentation of the project and the creation of a monumental outdoor collective work.

Main Studio:

• Presentation of the major stages and findings of the process.
• Video screening of June co-creation workshops (video by Mika Theimer)
• Invitation to refine design ideas, content and identity highlights from creative workshops inspired by the theme of Taking care of water (design illustrations by Fred Nony of Nony Famili).

Sculpture Park:

• Participation in the co-construction of a monumental work under the artistic direction of Marek Latzmann. The ephemeral work symbolizes a central value of the approach: the desire to work together to create something by and for the community. Indeed, the giant beaver lodge that will be erected in the D’Arts et de rêves sculpture park also evokes the playful, educational, ecological and artistic aspects of the project.
