The Minister of Agriculture and Agri-Food has announced fantastic news for our agricultural community: the Youth Employment and Skills Program (YESP) will reopen its application process on January 27, 2025!

– INFORMATION FROM THE GOVERNMENT OF CANADA –

With an investment of $13.5 million, this key program aims to address labor needs while providing young Canadians with enriching professional experience in the agricultural sector. As local farmers and entrepreneurs, you can benefit from financial support covering up to 50% of salaries and benefits, or even 80% if you hire youth facing employment barriers.

This program is a unique opportunity to strengthen your teams while actively contributing to the development of the next generation of agricultural talent. Since its launch, YESP has supported nearly 6,200 youth across all provinces and territories, and we are proud to see this support continue.
