Fall Activities Program at the Municipal and School Library
For the past few years, the Sutton Municipal and School Library has offered a range of courses, lectures, and activities to entertain and enrich the knowledge of our citizens of all ages!
With a varied program, the Library actively contributes to Sutton’s community, cultural, and social life. Workshops, lectures (free for Sutton residents and property owners), as well as courses: there’s something for everyone!

Fall 2025 Activities Program
Here is the list of activities available to you, starting in September, outside of Library opening hours:
Ukulele Course, Level 6*, with Agnès Boisvert
*You must have completed Level 5 to access this course
Mondays, from September 8 to November 17, 2025, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Residents and property owners: $100 + tax
Non-residents: $150 + tax
Ukulele Meet-up “Club Format”, with Agnès Boisvert
*You must know how to play the ukulele to access this course
Wednesdays, from September 10 to December 17, 2025, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Writing Workshop On a Beautiful Adventure, with Diane Lambin
Wednesdays, from September 24 to November 26, 2025, from 12:45 p.m. to 2:45 p.m.

Description: Sutton artist Diane Lambin leads this workshop, where participants will learn the basics of text writing.
Lecture – Fraud Doesn’t Just Happen to Others, by Educaloi
Saturday, September 20, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Residents and property owners: free
Non-residents: $10 + tax
Description: This lecture aims to introduce participants to the most common fraud techniques and teach them how to recognize them. They will also be informed about appropriate resources for reporting an attempted fraud.
Zine Workshop + Exhibition, with Faustine Escoffier
Saturday, September 27, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Residents and property owners: free
Non-residents: $10 + tax
Description: Do you know the world of zines (short for magazine)? Come discover this artistic form of publication and share a moment of creativity while exploring paper, folding, and binding. During this workshop, zines will be created and exchanged among participants, and a copy of the works produced will be exhibited at the Library. The workshop is open to teens aged 15 and up, and adults.
This activity is part of the Journées de la culture.
Lecture – Chickens in Your Yard, with Élysabeth Lefèvre
Friday, October 3, 2025, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Residents and property owners: free
Non-residents: $10 + tax
Description: Have you always wanted to have chickens at home, but are hesitant to take the plunge? Perhaps you already have chickens at home and would like to improve your knowledge?
Workshop – Photography with a Cell Phone: Creative Getaway in the Village, with Michel Proulx
Monday, December 1st, 2025, from 2:30 p.m.M to 4:30 p.m.
Residents and property owners: free
Non-residents: $10 + tax
Description: Whether in the streets or in nature, outdoor photography benefits from natural light, diverse landscapes, and the magic of the holiday season to capture moments of conviviality by adding a human dimension to your photos. These seasonal characteristics have their own charm and offer unique photographic opportunities.
Workshop – Photo Composition with Your Cell Phone, with Michel Proulx
Monday, December 1st, 2025, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Residents and property owners: free
Non-residents: $10 + tax
Description: Through concrete demonstrations and highly visual multimedia presentations, you will learn to structure your photos and take the time to compose your images. You will see the importance of composition rules for conveying a more touching and impactful message in your photos.
Workshop – Braided Christmas Ornaments, with Brins d’nature
Thursday, December 4, 2025, from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Residents and property owners: free
Non-residents: $10 + tax
Description: Learn an ancestral craft! Come and relax for an afternoon, rediscover the memory of the gesture, and connect with nature to create an entirely natural ornament for the holidays.

Activity registrations must be done on the online platform AccèsCité Loisirsm accessible on the City’s website under Citizen Services/Resident Services/Leisure Activity Registration.
