International Lifeguard and Assistant Lifeguard Appreciation Days: thanks to Sutton’s particularly motivated aquatic team!
As part of the International Lifeguard and Assistant Lifeguard Appreciation Day on Wednesday, July 31, the Town of Sutton would like to thank and congratulate its aquatic team! This day is the perfect opportunity to express our gratitude for this wonderful team whose primary objective is safety and aquatic fun surrounding the swimming area. Thanks to them, the pool is open 7 days a week for 8 consecutive weeks this summer for open swims, adult swims and lap swims. What’s more, our 5 instructors offer lessons 5 mornings a week for children and adults. The Town of Sutton’s aquatic team is made up of attentive, responsible and knowledgeable individuals who take their work to the heart: “Having taken swimming lessons my whole childhood at the Sutton pool, the instructors who taught me are now my work colleagues. I feel lucky to be able to teach children to swim, and I hope that they too will be part of the next generation of aquatic team members!” – Régine, swimming instructor and lifeguard “For the past 5 years, the work team has always been dynamic. Our working conditions improve every summer, and I can spend my summer outdoors!”– Rébecca, swimming instructor and head lifeguard “When I saw the ads from the Lifesaving Society for the remarkable lack of lifeguards in Quebec, I knew I had to help my community. Plus, I have the opportunity to work outside all summer at our beautiful pool!”– Luc, lifeguard All our lifeguards, assistant lifeguards and swimming instructors are trained by the…

All our lifeguards, assistant lifeguards and swimming instructors are trained by the Lifesaving Society’s program. This organization is dedicated to preventing death and injury on, in or near water.
Our swimming instructors offer the Lifesaving Society’s Swim for Life program for all children aged 3 months to 12 years.
Since this summer, the Town of Sutton has also been training the next generation of aquatic professionals! Bronze Medallion, Bronze Cross and First Aid – General training courses are being offered for free since June, thanks to the financial support program for Free Lifeguard and Aquatic Instructor Training.
Becoming a lifeguard changes lives, and becoming an instructor helps to grow!
Thank to our fabulous summer aquatic team.
