Journées de l’animation et de l’accompagnement: let’s celebrate our day camp counselors who make summer shine at Sutton Day Camp!
On the occasion of the Journées de l'animation et de l'accompagnement (Animation and accompaniment days), held from July 15 to 17, 2025, the Town of Sutton wishes to express its gratitude and extend its congratulations to the Day Camp team for their remarkable commitment this summer season!
The Journées de l’animation et de l’accompagnement (JDAA) were created to highlight the exceptional work of Quebec’s animation and accompaniment personnel, and the significant contribution they make to the young people who come into contact with them on a daily basis in recreational activities.
Thanks to them, children enrolled in the Municipal Day Camp (up to 52 per week!) enjoy a wide range of adventures: nature activities, outings to the water slides, sports, arts and magic are all on the program!
The Sutton Municipal Day Camp team is composed of caring, motivated and highly competent individuals. This dedicated team is committed to providing children with a memorable summer:

The JDAA are an initiative of the Conseil québécois du loisir, in collaboration with the partners of the DAFA Program (Diplôme d’aptitude aux fonctions d’animateur) since 2014. This national leadership training program meets the high standards of the leisure and recreation community. Before the camp opened, our team took the DAFA training course, totalling over 30 hours, designed and held by Day Camp Coordinator Ève Rompré. They also received 8 hours of first-aid training. For us, it was essential to offer our team the best possible preparation to ensure a safe, rewarding and unforgettable Summer 2025 for the children.
To you, our dear Day Camp counselors and assistant counselors, thank you for being the inspiration our young people so greatly need! Thank you for your commitment and your contagious energy, and keep up the good work!
