Mount Echo fire – Updated Friday, October 24
The rains of the last few days have certainly helped to extinguish the fire, but we will have to wait for official confirmation from SOPFEU before we can declare that the fire that was burning last week on Mont Écho is completely out. In any case, a final check will be made next week by our team.
The Mont Écho trails will remain closed until we receive confirmation of this. Thank you for your cooperation and for respecting this ban.

Anecdotally, our Sutton firefighters even found time during the Mount Echo events to rescue a dog stuck in a pipe, earning public thanks from the animal’s owner!
