Municipality Week – New Municipal Elected Officials Day on September 12
Today, September 12, marks the first-ever “Journée des élu(e)s municipaux” (Municipal Elected Officials Day), part of Municipality Week, an opportunity to salute and recognize the work of our municipal council members. Their role is essential to the smooth running of our municipality. The municipal council oversees the social, community, environmental and economic development of our living environment. Constantly attentive to the needs of our population, our elected officials set the directions that will ensure the proper management of our municipal services. Their decisions may sometimes be difficult to make, or even contested, but they are taken with respect for municipal democracy and always with the aim of improving the quality of life in our community. Together, our elected officials work for the collective good. Let’s thank our elected officials for their commitment!
