New agreements in principle between the Town and its employees

The Town of Sutton is pleased to announce that an agreement in principle has been reached with the respective negotiating committees concerning the working conditions of its unionized and management employees. Unionized employees will be asked to ratify the agreement on May 5. Town Council will also be asked to vote on both agreements at its next meeting on May 7, 2025. Renewal for 2026 The agreement in principle concerning the working conditions of the Town of Sutton’s unionized (blue-collar and white-collar) employees has been reached between the general management and the negotiating committee of the Syndicat de la fonction publique, local 3246. Their current collective agreement expires on December 31, 2025. The other agreement in principle updates the policy on working conditions of management employees. Once adopted by the Council, its terms will be applied as of January 1, 2026. Details of the agreements will be given when they are finally adopted. Office closes on Monday, May 5 at 11:30 a.m. In order to allow all unionized members to meet and ratify the agreement in principle of their next collective agreement, the reception and administrative services of Town Hall will be exceptionally closed on Monday, May 5, from 11:30 a.m. onwards.
