New leaf collection on Thursday, November 21
Published on 31 October 2024
Due to the exceptionally mild weather, which has delayed the fall of leaves, the Public Works and Fixed Assets Department has decided to offer a second fall collection, which will take place door to door during the day on Thursday, November 21, 2024. Please prepare your bags accordingly.
Here are the instructions for the collection:
Put your bags in plain sight by the roadside BEFORE 7 a.m. on November 21.
Use PAPER BAGS ONLY.
Do NOT use any ADHESIVE TAPE.
Please note! Plastic or taped bags will not be collected.
Apart from occasional door-to-door collection, here are 3 other options for disposing of your fallen leaves:
- MAKE LEAFCYCLING A PRIORITY. It’s a good natural fertilizer, and it’s easy: just leave the dead leaves on the ground after shredding them with your lawnmower;
- Place them in your BROWN BIN;
- Bring them to the Cowansville’s ECOCENTRE, open year-round:
- Ecocentre address and opening hours (Zone-Éco)
- List of accepted and refused materials at the Ecocentre
