New Zine Workshop on Saturday, February 21!

After the success of the first one last fall, a new zine workshop is being offered at the Sutton Municipal and School Library on Saturday, February 21, from 1 to 4 p.m.: come and have fun exploring the world of the zine, an artistic and thematic form of creation using paper, folding and binding. No experience required!

VIsuel Zine EN

In this workshop, led with passion by Faustine Escoffier, you will be inspired by words and images. Together, you will create zines and, with your permission, a copy of your work will be proudly displayed at the Library.

Do you know the zine?

Derived from the word magazine, a zine is a small, hand-crafted, independent publication, often outside commercial channels. The zine is created, produced (often photocopied) and distributed by amateurs or established artists, on subjects they feel passionate about. These publications can take many forms (comics, poetry, personal essays, graphzines) and serve to share ideas, claims or passions, giving a voice to subjects little covered by traditional media. The zine relies on total artistic freedom of expression in the editorial choice of content.
