Recognized organizations support

Non-profit organizations (NPOs) recognized by the Town under its Policy on the Recognition and Support of Non-Profit Organizations are eligible for services and support from the Municipality based on their recognition status.

Types of support

The services and supports offered to recognized organizations fall into four categories:

Financial support

Depending on their recognition category, organizations may apply for three funding programs: operating financial support, project financial support, and financial support from the council’s discretionary budget.

Rentals’ support

Depending on their recognition category, organizations may have free access to various Town-owned indoor or outdoor spaces. Reservation rates are specified in the municipal fees By-Law.

Professional support

Depending on their recognition category, organizations may receive support from the recreation, community life, and culture team in launching projects through advice and guidance.

All recognized organizations will be invited annually to a training session designed to support the management and/or development of their NPO based on identified needs.

All recognized organizations will also be invited each year to the volunteer recognition celebration organized by the Town.

Technical support

All recognized organizations have access to BFL Canada’s preferential rate for insurance coverage. This partnership is made possible through an agreement between the Union des municipalités du Québec (UMQ) and BFL Canada.

All recognized organizations have free access to equipment reservations and delivery for their public events.

Depending on their recognition category, organizations benefit from free promotion of their activities, events, and other services on the Tartre Park display board, community bulletin boards, and in the Town’s publications. All related terms will be provided to NPOs upon confirmation of their recognition status.
