Auto-inspection program

The Public Safety Department has set up a fire auto-inspection program which, by means of a questionnaire, enables residents to review for themselves the equipment and safe behaviours they need to deal with fire hazards in their homes, and to take the necessary corrective action in dangerous situations.

For your own safety, it is essential to ensure the accuracy of the information provided on the auto-inspection form. To this end, a member of the fire service could visit certain buildings, selected at random from the forms that have been returned compliant.

Before starting, make sure to have a photo of your house façade and a photo of the location of your propane tank, if applicable.
