Perseverance

Perseverance will take you far.

In accordance with its resolution 2026-02-071 adopted on February 4, the Town of Sutton wishes to encourage and congratulate all pupils and students for their perseverance, and at the same time to underline the importance of the role played by teachers, parents, CAB Sutton homework help volunteers, and all those involved in the fight against dropping out of school and in promoting education.

Three scholarships for students at Massey-Vanier High School and the Brome-Missisquoi Campus

Also, considering that many young English- and French-speaking citizens of Sutton attend Massey-Vanier high school and the Brome-Missisquoi Campus, the Board announced the awarding of three bursaries to be presented at the 2026 graduation ceremony to support the success and perseverance of certain students: $400 to the Massey-Vanier Scholarship Bursary Fund, $400 to the Fonds d’excellence Massey-Vanier (Davignon) inc. and $400 to the Campus Brome-Missisquoi’s general adult education program (resolution 2026-04-082).

Thursday, February 13, we are wearing green for PersiVERDANT Thursday!

A wave of green to encourage school perseverance: PersiVERDANT Thursday invites everyone who wants to support school success to add a touch of green to their day – whether it is an item of clothing, an accessory or decor – and proudly show their support for educational success!

By wearing green, you are sending a strong message to young people and adults in training that they are not alone, and that their perseverance will take them far.

The origins of HSD

Since 2004, Quebec has been mobilizing to promote student retention and educational success through the Hooked on School Days (HSD).

Over the years, HSD have become an annual awareness-raising and mobilization event, highlighting the importance of getting involved with young people and encouraging them in their efforts to succeed.

This week takes place during the 3rd week of February, a crucial time in the school year when young people can feel a drop in energy and motivation. HSD provide a platform for Quebec society to encourage and value young people, and to listen to their motivations and aspirations.
