Mailing of tax bills and of information from your Public Security Department on February 12

The Town of Sutton will mail tax bills to all taxpayers on February 12. It will be accompanied by a leaflet summarizing the main points of the 2025 budget, which was adopted on December 18, 2024 and sets municipal tax rates for the current year. An important information letter from your Public Safety Department will also be distributed about false fire alarms and the self-inspection form.

Payment in four instalments

Municipal taxes are payable in four installments:

  • 1st instalment: March 14, 2025
  • 2nd instalment: May 13, 2025
  • 3rd instalment: August 12, 2025
  • 4th instalment: October 15, 2025

New measure against false fire alarms

In the same mailing, you will receive important information from your Public Safety Department concerning residents equipped with an alarm system connected to a central station: as of March 1, 2025, they will be charged a fee if our firefighters are called to their home for a false fire alarm. This fee is intended to reduce the number of unjustified calls that needlessly mobilize our firefighters.

Fill in the self-inspection form!

The Public Safety Department asks all residents to fill out the self-inspection form, which can be found online on the front page of the Town’s website or on request in hard copy at the Town Hall reception desk.
