The Sutton Municipal and School Library now welcomes you on Saturdays until 4 p.m.!
The Town of Sutton is pleased to announce that the Municipal and School Library is now open on Saturdays until 4 p.m., whereas it previously closed at noon. This new schedule comes in response to a request made during the survey conducted in April 2024 on library services.
In this survey, respondents clearly expressed their wish for afternoon library opening hours. A recommendation was then made to City Council by the Recreation, Community Life and Culture Department, with a view to the 2025 budget.
Committed to offering quality services that meet the needs of the population, the council approved the hiring of staff to fill these additional hours. The Library is now able to extend its opening hours on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., as weekday afternoons are occupied by various activities.
Please note that during the summer school vacations – from June 21 to September 5, 2025 – the Saturday opening hours will be shortened from 10 a.m. to noon, due to lower library use.
