Travelling to Italy and preparing your vegetable garden: two spring conferences not to be missed!

We would like to remind you of two very interesting free lectures being offered in April by the Sutton Municipal and School Library, as part of its spring programming: a film-conference on “Italy, from Tuscany to the Amalfi Coast” on Sunday, April 6, and a lecture on “Start your own vegetable garden” on Monday, April 14. “Italy, from Tuscany to the Amalfi Coast” with Martin Généreux

When: Sunday, April 6, 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
What: A film-conference in French by Martin Généreux presented by Les Aventuriers Voyageurs

Michèle and Martin travel to the heart of Italy, starting their journey in the legendary capital, Rome. Following bucolic roads and inspiring encounters, they head for the unique and splendid Tuscany! The beauties of Italy will follow one another from village to village, passing through the historic cities of Pisa, Florence and Siena. Their adventures will end on the steep paths of the enchanting Amalfi Coast, with its many colorful villages, bordered by the turquoise sea that everyone dreams of!

“Start your own vegetable garden” with Élyzabeth Lefèvre

When: Monday, April 14, 12:45 p.m. to 2:45 p.m.
What: How to set up your project properly to maximize your chances of success: benefits, planning, resources needed, choosing varieties, seedlings and transplants, planting schedule, growing in the ground and in containers, right through to implementation (in French, but all are welcome).

Élysabeth Lefèvre is passionate about the world of agriculture and popularization, and can help you discover a more sustainable, eco-responsible way of life.
