Flushing of the water mains from May 5 to 16, 2025 in the village sector
The Public Works and Fixed Assets Department wishes to inform you that it will be carrying out a two-week unidirectional flushing of water mains in the village sector between Monday, May 5 and Friday, May 16, 2025. The mountain sector will be flushed afterwards. Flushing removes deposits from the pipes, ensuring long-term drinking water quality and smooth operation of the infrastructure (hydrants, valves, pipes, valves, etc.). The flushing process may cause temporary cloudy to yellowish water. If you notice this happening in your household, simply run cold water, preferably from your bathtub faucet, until it becomes clear again. It is not recommended to wash bright clothes during this time, nor to use bleach, which could stain your clothes. We apologize in advance for any inconvenience. For any additional information: please contact the Public Works and Fixed Assets Department by telephone at 450 915-6684 or by e-mail at [email protected]. Subscribe to CITAM! To stay informed of upcoming work or receive important alerts, we strongly encourage you to sign up for the CITAM mass notification and alert application on the Town’s website. This is the fastest and most efficient way to receive all relevant information about ongoing roadblocks in real time, as well as urgent public safety messages: you can receive messages by phone, text message or e-mail, depending on your choice at the time of registration.
