Flushing of water mains extended in the village sector and to come in the mountain sector
The Public Works and Fixed Assets Department wishes to inform you that the ongoing process of unidirectional flushing of its water mains in the village sector has had to be extended for operational reasons until next week. Flushing in the mountain sector will follow. Flushing removes deposits from the pipes, ensuring long-term drinking water quality and smooth operation of the infrastructure (hydrants, valves, pipes, valves, etc.). The flushing process may cause temporary cloudy to yellowish water. If you notice this happening in your household, simply run cold water, preferably from your bathtub faucet, until it becomes clear again. It is not recommended to wash bright clothes during this time, nor to use bleach, which could stain your clothes. We apologize in advance for any inconvenience. For any additional information: please contact the Public Works and Fixed Assets Department by telephone at 450 915-6684 or by e-mail at [email protected]. Subscribe to CITAM!
