Let’s celebrate International Women’s Rights Day Sunday, March 8
On March 8, Quebec celebrates International Women's Rights Day. This important date serves to highlight the progress made by women and to salute all the work accomplished towards equality, given that equality between women and men has still not been achieved.
This year, the March 8 campaign of the Conseil du statut de la femme (CSF) aims to highlight initiatives and influential individuals who are advancing the status of women in Quebec in various fields. The campaign, entitled ” Voices that inspire “, highlights the “voices” of those who, through their initiatives and actions, are making Quebec a more egalitarian and inclusive place.
Discover inspiring voices in science, women’s health, women’s sports, women’s entrepreneurship and politics (in French only).
In Canada, International Women’s Day (IWD) is an occasion for global recognition and celebration of the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women and girls. This year’s theme, ” Giving in order to receive “, underlines the importance of taking meaningful action to advance gender equality.

Every woman’s story is a testament to resilience, determination, and the power of possibility. This International Women’s Rights Day is a call to action and a reminder that gender equality is one of the most effective ways to build healthier, more prosperous, and more inclusive communities.
On March 8, let’s celebrate all women!
