Last Free Open Air Cinema Evening on Thursday, August 7
It’s already the end of our free outdoor family cinema evenings, which are taking place this year at the Sutton School of Art, as part of its Nocturnes event. This last free screening, next Thursday, August 7, offers you, starting at 6:30 p.m., a musical preview, another documentary short film from one of our citizen, followed by the great cinematic success "Avatar".
Penultimate Evening of the Summer Nocturnes – Join Us!
Come and fully enjoy the summer by experiencing the cultural vitality of our beautiful region by attending the 5th evening of the Nocturnes, the perfect opportunity to attend an unforgettable evening under the stars! Thanks to the mandate offered by the Town of Sutton and the partnership with the Knowlton Film Festival, the Sutton School of Art allows everyone to attend this outdoor cultural activity evening for free.
Doors open at 6:30 p.m.
6:30 p.m.: Doors open: explore your creativity at the Art Lab, grab a refreshment at the snack bar, enjoy the music.
7 p.m.: Musical preview by the group Les Éphémérides, a French-speaking folk duo exploring bluegrass and Americana.
8:00 p.m.: The “Amazing North Branch Stream” (FR, 33 minutes), the latest documentary by Étienne Benoit on one of our streams.
The Featured Film: Avatar
8:45 p.m.: Avatar (EN, 2h 42m), James Cameron’s famous film, is offered in its original English version with French subtitles.
Synopsis: On the lush alien world of Pandora live the Na’vi, beings who seem primitive but are highly evolved. Jake Sully, a paralyzed former Marine, regains mobility through an Avatar and falls in love with a Na’vi woman.
