– UPDATE THURSDAY, AUGUST 21 AT 5 PM –

Water Restriction in the Mountain Sector Lifted

  • The reservoirs in the mountain sector are currently sufficiently filled to allow for the lifting of the ban on non-essential drinking water use.
  • We thank and congratulate the residents of the sector who have considerably helped us regain control of the situation.
  • However, we reiterate our calls for restraint in your drinking water consumption, given that rain is still not in the forecast, nor is it truly certain for the end of the week.
  • The period of drought is not over; we must remain vigilant!
  • DON’T FORGET! We must maintain a sufficient water reserve not only for residents’ needs, but also to prepare for any eventuality of a forest fire.
  • The leak that had been located and isolated on Chemin Réal has been repaired.
  • We continue to monitor the situation very closely and will not hesitate to apply the same measures if our reserve levels drop below the critical threshold again.

Check the Fire Danger Index before Lighting an Outdoor Fire!

As you may have noticed, the SOPFEU index varies, and just because it’s allowed one day doesn’t mean it will be the next: it is essential to check whether or not you are authorized to light any outdoor fire (open-air fire, fire with spark arrester, including fireworks).

And we remind you that you have a legal obligation to request a burning permit before lighting any outdoor fire.
