The Public Works and Fixed Assets Department is pleased to inform you of the latest work in progress scheduled for the upcoming week of October 14 to 18. The worksite will be closed on Monday, October 14, for the Thanksgiving holiday. In the southern parking lot of Goyette Hill Park: closed until the second asphalt layer is laid down. In the northern parking lot of Goyette Hill Park: open. The use of alternative parking remains recommended. Phase 4:
- Sidewalk and concrete curbs construction completed!
- Concrete pouring to connect driveways to sidewalks and curbs completed!
- Gravelling and final grading of Western Street completed!
- Construction of crossing strips for pedestrian protection completed!
- Paving of street (one coat) and Western Street/Route 215 intersection (2 coats) completed! PLEASE NOTE: second coat of street asphalt scheduled for spring 2025.
- Asphalting of south parking lot: first layer laid down, second layer to come.
- Planting done in the islands and around the south and north parking lots.
- FINAL WORK TO BE COMPLETED :
- Planting in the retention basins of the south and north parking lots.
- Planting in the street islands.
- Repairs to driveways and residents’ yards.
